Regina Chamber of Commerce
Tony Playter CEO, Kyle Addison Chair & Chamber joined us as special guests.
The Chamber, now with 1100 members, has
Switched focus to business first, believing that a strong community was built through an entrepreneurial spirit. Those businesses will help build a quality of life for Regina and Saskatchewan. With 2 elections coming up in the fall, the Chamber wants to hear from business so they can build an elections strategy to bring to candidates.
Some feedback at the civic level is local financial accountability, keeping focus locally not internationally, more collaboration between council and the province, finding quality Candidates for council, better planning of construction projects, Administration and interpretation of permits and building codes to get work done easier and faster, development of the heritage community, access to customer service, development and vibrancy of downtown, and maintaining of parks and boulevards.
