Blair brought the big guns, Donna, the area manager for business,  to help business grow. Now that they have the ability to do so again, they're making visits to businesses and they're seeing growth. In fact, there's been more startups in the past 3 months than previous years!

As a member-owned credit union, Conexus is the biggest in the province. Being locally owned, the know the community and they invest in it.

There's a rising interest rate changing the environment. There's a lot of real estate purchases but not a lot of construction. The reason is, even though there's risk from inflation, it's still an easier bet than constructing new and risking the rising costs and/or setbacks associated with it.

Fun fact: the Conexus branch on 5th and Elphinstone was the first in Canada to have an ATM!
