In 1999, a fellow from Salmon Arm, BC, owned some sea containers and, after his friends bugged him to borrow them, he saw an opportunity. They now have 34 containers across Canada and some locations even do modifications! Jeff McCormick comes from Vancouver and has been at the Regina location for 14 years.

On the commercial side, containers are great for retail overflow, or for secure storage. Realtors use them to help stage a home and de-clutter. Containers can even be modified for use as offices. 

Residential moving works great as you can move at your pace. Just leave it in the yard or store it at the Big Steel Box compound.

Big Steel Box gives back to the community by helping with Frost Regina to build a snowboard hill, and various non-profits like Habitat for Humanity and The Regina Food Bank.

Lastly, there is an option to buy a container, either fully finished and painted or "rough" for a discount.
